Dear all,

As you may have realised, CIP is an integral part of your learning as
a student in Secondary School.

I am calling people from Nanyang Primary School (here on after known
as NYPS) to give peer tuition for the P6GEP 07 batch, in a bid to
prepare them for their Preliminary Examinations (hereon after known
as Prelims), but more importantly, their Primary School Leaving
Examination (hereon after known as PSLE).

As we all know, the Prelims are a guage for the students to know how
they can improve and study for their PSLE. I have liased with Mrs
Serene Boey-Lim (Head of Gifted Education Programme in NYPS), and she
has agreed, only that she needs to know the basic framework, which I
am working on currently.

If you are interested in the CIP and helping your juniors, please

And they are having p5 class gathering, which is a bit o.o lah, since they're literally still in nyps, tsk. Hope they buck up, they dont seem to be the least bit worrying about psle, from what I read from their blog, nothing about PSLE is mentioned! I rmb last year, about this time all of us were blah blah about PSLE already, and I hope they are so not complacent and think that thye surely will get a place thru dsa. I sound like a teacher bleah.

But anyway, I hope, really hope they will appreciate the teachers, they work very hard lah, I mean , hope they pay attention to classes, esp Mrs O's class, since she doesnt repeat her materials twice, and if she does she gets really fed up, and I know that if they dont pay attention hor, the one that lose out really is them luh.

And to <3 their p6 classes, gradually the p5 classes, as PSLE gets nearer, like everyone gets closer to their p6 class lah, I rmb 6K HAHA! At the start of the year, we got dono how many lectures and "talks" from Mrs O and CLS, AND Mr Pang, but it sorta work in the end, after psle, everyone got all a little teary, hope the juniors will be the same too!

AND, they must must must must love nyps can. Dont be like us, laterrr regrettt and regreettt.

Harlo people! I haven't blogged for EONS. Seriously, EONS. How's 6K '06 going? Still active and raring to go? Or dead and dead-ed? In my humble opinion, though I'm the organiser, I would love to organise the party EVERY 6 MONTHS, provided I am free and allowed to by my Heavenly Father and earthly parents. The reason being: I will miss those that are close to heart that will not be going to the same school as I am. No prizes for guessing who. I HOPE JEAN & SR GET INTO RGS!!!
Here's the PLAN:
Date: Right after exams, before the holidays begin so people are still in town. On Fridays/weekends.
Time: If friday, 3-6/7pm. If weekends, 1-6/7pm.
Venue: Outdoors this time. Allow me to suggest two BIG PARKS and point out their pros and cons...
1. East Coast Park. A gigantic park along the East Coast of Singapore which has a nice beach, long & straight cycling/rollerblading paths and a McDonalds for tea/lunch/dinner. A bit boring.
2. West Coast Park. A slightly-smaller-than-East Coast Park park along the West Coast of Singapore which has a kind-of-polluted beach and faces Jurong Island (I think... so no beauiful scenery), shorter & curvier cycling/rollerblading paths BUT HAS A GIGANTIC 'PLAYGROUND' which is actually a UBER-FUN OBSTACLE COURSE, A PYRAMIAD AND OTHER ULTRA-FUN STUFF. Like East Coast Park, it also has a McDonalds for tea/lunch/dinner but I think it isn't skate-in...
Programme: If East Coast, skate/cycle/skateboard around while talking and SR can bring her Twister to play by the beach. If West Coast, we probably won't move around much, just climb around the obstacle courses and play Twister in an open area.
Things to bring: Water, Bike/Skates/Skateboard + Safety gear if East Coast, $$$ for rental of stuff/safety gear and FOOD.
How is that? Okay? Do give ideas/suggestions/objections though I know this is VERY VERY EARLY. Just want to test the waters. Do note that we face two problems:
1. Indemnity. Parks are slightly more dangerous, so how do we handle cases if people get injured? We must let parents agree that allowing their children to go will make them totally responsible for their own safety.
2. Weather. Do we just sit around in McDonalds if it rains? What do we do if it's too hot and someone faints/gets sunstroke?

Call me a worrier if you want, I don't care. I'm worried! (Laura BTW) I'm SO SO worried of the following scenarios:

1. No one turns up.

2. Everyone turns up but no one brings food.

I'll try to make this short. This is the current plan for the gathering for 2006 6K-ers:

Venue: SR's house (If you don't know her address you can chop off your head!)

Date: 8 Dec (Sorry Dee Dee but YOU'LL BE AWAY FOR... TEN DAYS?!)

Time: Not decided. Big question is- Lunch or dinner? Please voice your preferences. The duration should be about 4 hours.

Price: Free, but bring FOOD (If you want you can get delivery or something, but you have to pay... Do tag to tell us what you can bring. It'll be pot luck.) Oh yes, as courtesy, do bring some kind of gift for our dear host, SR! =)

Dress Code: Party? Not TOO casual but don't come in a tux or evening gown either... xP AND NO SCHOOL UNIFORM ARH...

Hello? Alright, I know this blogskin is really idiotic, but I will change it soon, when I find a suitable one (meaning it isn't bloody goth, isnt romance, isn't overly-childish). That proves to be a really hard task :(
